We enjoyed reading Where the Wild Things Are with our 6th age buddies.  We discussed the use of texture in the illustrations throughout the story.  The boys patiently helped their buddies create their own "wild thing" using texture to enhance their illustrations.

The boys in Room 219 did an outstanding job presenting their culture projects to visitors at our "Country Culture Fair"!  Many commented on their exceptional public speaking skills, detailed research reports, and the fine quality of their projects.  I am so proud of their excellent effort!

We are "Taking Out the Garbage"!

Mrs. Sumsso and Cassie Calvert visited our class on Friday!  Mrs.  Sumsso was frustrated because she was reading her students' research reports and found many overused, boring words!  She referred  to these words as "Garbage Can Words"!  Our class has decided to officially ban the use of all "Garbage Can Words" so that Mrs. Ossmus doesn't become bored and frustrated when she reads the outstanding research reports written by her students!

Here is a picture of Mrs. Sumsso and Cassie Calvert!
